My Trip to Chicago
Wednesday, June 28, 2006
Sandy, Aunt Kathy and I decided to go downtown for the day. Sandy and Aunt Kathy are in from Maryland. We rode the Metra from Palatine to downtown Chicago. That was a first for me, but I loved it. Sandy and I wanted to sit on the top level of the train car. We than took the free trolley to the Adler Planetarium. Again another first. The Planetarium was awesome I didn't realize that there was so much inside the planetarium. From the Planetarium we walked to Buckingham Fountain. Another first, I have driven passed it, and I saw it from the hotel window during our stay for Katie's Bachelorette party, but never up close. That was really cool. During our walk we saw people setting up the taste. I guess this will be as close to the taste as I will never get. My fear of crowds will never allow me to get that close again. While we waited for the Trolley to take us back to the metra we saw the Budweiser Clydesdale pull in. They had some really cool looking trucks. Sorry that's the car girl coming out. Over all it was a really nice trip.
Here are some views of the city.

Katie and Eric's Wedding
June 24, 2006 was Katie and Eric's Wedding.
There were seven bridemaids wearing seven different colors:
Kristie, Jenny, Susie (me), April, Rachel, Meredith, and Adrienne.

The colors looked awesome together. It was a beautiful wedding. Katie did an awesome job planning the entire wedding. She had some ideas that I was a little afraid of, but everything turned out great. We made all the flowers are selves. At first I was concerned, but again my worry was for nothing it turned out perfect. The reception was at Independence Grove in Libertyville. The candles and the view of the lake was to die for. Of course, Pauly entertained us with his dance moves, and Kristie and Jenny fought over the throw away bouquet. I also forced everyone to do my classic group shot which turned out great. The party last late into the eveing with dancing, drinking, and of course chatting. After the wedding Pauly held an after party which was shut down after five minutes(way to go paul).
From Left to right starting at the top is
Kurt
Drew, Andy, Chris, Kevin, Katie, Eric, Nik, Jason, John, Jen
Megan, Me, April, Kelly, and Steve

Madison

Since I have the summer off I decided to spend some time in Madison visiting family. So far I have seen Sabrina play her softball game. Later in the week both Andrew and Brina will have games so that is exciting. Unfortunately the baseball player is out of town so I will not be able to meet him. I guess I will just have to wait.

On a positive note I get to use a computer that has a DSL hookup instead of dial up so that is pretty sweet.

Jon and Megan's Wedding

Well tonight Saturday June 10, 2006 my younger cousin Jon got married. It was a beautiful ceremony. It was outside which made it a little chilly but other than that it was perfect. Of course Jon was is normal self and added one of his signature moves to end the ceremony, of course he made the crowd laugh. After the ceremony we enter the ballroom were we started drinking and of course eating. As soon as the toasts were done we started dancing. I didn't get to wild and crazy (how could I with out my peeps). Brina and I did a few signature moves of our own. Dad and I took a spin around the dance floor. Mom and I did our cha cha slide and the electric slide.
A good time was had by all, as you can tell by this picture.
